Therapy Dogs

I have found that animals have incredible instincts about people. They are also patient, tolerant, and rewarding. Several programs have started up using dogs in schools. One is called "Tail Wagging Tutors"  This program allows students to read to dogs. Students who may be shy, have self esteem issues, or lack reading skills read to the dogs which builds success and confidence in their abilities. Because they are reading aloud their reading skills improve.
